And we have movement...

Again, nearly a month has gone by since an update. But it does seem that there finally IS something to update! As is to be expected, my belly is getting bigger, and what's nice is that other than my boobs, it's the ONLY part to get bigger! I'm so used to putting on weight and having my thighs, arms, face - everything really, grow with it. It's a refreshing change, and a reminder of exactly why I'm gaining the weight.

In about the past week or so, I've really started to feel more movement. What felt like little gas bubbles in the beginning now really feel like there's something moving around in there. It's still not really distinct kicks, but more like gentle tappings from within. It was a little strange at first, but now that I've gotten used to it, it's a welcome part of my day.

We had another peek at the kiddo last week. This time rather than being too squirmy to get all the measurements, the tech thinks the baby was sleeping! She had to poke and prod a couple times to get the baby to move into the right position, but in the end she got all the measurements she needed. This time the tech was so different. It was a woman, and she would comment on how cute the baby is, and was far more personal. She asked about names, complimented me on our choices and overall was less technical. She did her job, but made it seem to me like it was a job she really enjoyed. And really, when all is good, how can you not enjoy getting to check out people's babies everyday!

Last week Kirsten and I went and did a registry - it was SO much fun! We registered at Target, and even though it didn't feel like we put that much on, when I went to print it out, I had 9 pages spit back at me! Of course the first and last are just filler pages, but still, that's alot of stuff! I don't expect to get all of it, but at least people will now have an idea of what we'd like. :0)

So all in all the pregnancy is going well. I've got another appt on Tuesday - hopefully my weight gain and blood pressure will be good. While I won't get a look at the baby, hearing the heartbeat is always wonderful.

Til next time..
